If you are planning to layer your necklaces, we would suggest that you wear at least three and they should all be of different lengths and different thickness. You should always stick to one type of metal, for example, gold but you could consider a pendant if you want to add some colour or variety.
There are several ways that you can store necklaces with the ideal method being to keep them in the box in which they were purchased. Alternatively, you buy a jewelry organiser, or a cheaper option would be to hang them from a key holder which could be above your dresser. Other options include hanging over teacups and or feeding them through a plastic straw.
One of the most effective ways of cleaning a silver necklace is to use white vinegar and baking soda. Leave to soak for 2-3 hours, rinse under cold water and allow to air dry. Alternatively, you could soak them in warm, soapy water for 2-3 minutes and gently scrub with a soft brush, rinse and dry with a microfiber cloth.
Start by unclasping the chain and laying it flat and straight on a solid surface such as a table. Using a ruler or tape measure, measure the chain in inches, excluding any pendant. In addition to this information, you make also want to know your own neck size, which can be measured by gently placing a tape measure around the neck. For the ideal chain length, you should then add two inches to ensure that it is comfortable.
